FA Trophy: Nuneaton Borough 1- 0 Carlton Town
After losing to Northern Premier League side, Carlton Town, in the First qualifying Round of the FA Cup, Nuneaton Borough hosted the Millers again at the First Class Safety Stadium, this time in the Third Qualifying Round of the FA Trophy.
Since their FA Cup exit, the Boro have enjoyed a recent improvement in form, having won 3 of their last 4 matches. Expectations were high leading up to this game, and the Boro didn't disappoint. It was, at times, a scrappy game - it took the physio team 10 minutes to patch up Kyle Storer who had been elbowed in the face.
Carlton Town’s keeper, Felix Annan, kept the score level with a number of saves, including a point-blank save from a Leroy Lita strike.
With just a few minutes left, substitute Matt Stenson curled an effort into the top right corner of the Millers’ goal to secure the Boro a place in the next round.
